This weeks Motivational Monday comes from the Miami home of Tommy and Dee Hilfiger. In an effort to showcase the art they have collected throughout the years (clearly a rich people problem), Tommy and Dee looked to Los Angeles interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to design a cohesive space. Creating a space quite contrary to Tommy's fashion design approach, the miami home seems more like a house designed for Austin Powers. With great splashes of color, and a living room sure to make any art collector jealous featuring a HUGE and expensive collaborative painting by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Check Architectural Digest for the full story. You too can have a dope home this with a Keith Haring statue overlooking your pool, so get off your ass and hustle. Your welcome.
Oh yea heres a fun fact: Hilfiger who sold his fashion label in 2010 to Phillips-Van Heusen for $3 Billion but is still the brands principal designer, recently purchased the Raleigh hotel in Miami Beach, which he plans to refurbish starting in 2015.
If that isn't motivation for you then I can't help you.
